Thermage Eye is a non-invasive radiofrequency eyelid treatment Sydney patients consider for concerns including hooding, fine lines, and skin laxity around the eye area. It uses a dedicated eye tip designed specifically for the upper and lower eyelid zone.
It is performed in-clinic by qualified practitioners and does not involve needles, surgery, or ablation of any kind. Treatment protocols are shaped around your skin condition, age, and the degree of laxity present in the eye area.
The device delivers controlled radiofrequency energy into the deeper, collagen-rich layers of the periorbital skin. This heat causes existing collagen to contract and stimulates new collagen and elastin production in the weeks and months that follow. A dedicated 0.25cm² eye tip is used to precisely address the upper and lower eyelid. An inert eye shield is placed during treatment to protect the eye itself throughout the session.
Both Thermage Eye and Ultherapy target skin laxity around the eye area, but they differ in how they work and what they suit. Your dermal specialist will talk through both options during your consultation.
Thermage Eye uses monopolar radiofrequency energy to heat collagen-rich tissue in the periorbital area. Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound energy, which targets a different tissue depth and layer.
Thermage Eye delivers warmth and mild pressure through the skin during the session. Ultherapy is generally associated with a higher level of discomfort during treatment, which varies between individuals.
Thermage Eye involves minimal activity restrictions, primarily in the first four to seventy-two hours post-treatment. Both options are non-invasive, though individual recovery experience may vary.
Thermage Eye is typically performed as a single session, with results developing over several months. Your specialist will confirm the most appropriate approach for your eye area skin tightening Sydney goals at consultation.
Most clients return to their normal day immediately after a session. Visible improvement in redness may be seen across one to three sessions, with periodic maintenance supporting results over time.
Phase 1
Skin is stabilised through calming inflammation and barrier function repair. Some technologies and methods include the Lutronic DermaV, the SDL Glass Skin Method, and controlled chemical support.
Phase 2
Targeted device-based treatments are clinically introduced, spaced and layered. Technologies such as the PicoSure Pro may be used for laser toning, pigment management, resurfacing, and texture improvement.
Phase 3
The focus shifts to refining skin tone, pore quality, and smoothness. This phase may involve the Lutronic LaseMD Ultra alongside SDL's depigmentation protocols.
Phase 4
Structured skin maintenance is designed to help sustain results and support skin long-term. This may include regenerative treatments, periodic laser toning, and hydrating chemical support.
