Lumecca IPL, developed by InMode, is a breakthrough intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment designed to treat pigmented and vascular lesions with outstanding precision. Using photo-thermolysis technology, Lumecca delivers a comfortable high-intensity light treatment that heats and destroys damaged skin cells, allowing the body to clear them naturally.
Improvement can be visible after just one session — making Lumecca one of the most efficient and effective IPL treatments available.
Lumecca IPL is suitable for anyone concerned with brightening uneven skin tones, treating specific forms of pigmentation such as freckles and photo-damage, or addressing fine vascular lesions and thread veins.
Lumecca uses a large treatment head area and a high pulse repetition rate combined with a specific wavelength to precisely target concerned lesions. As it provides multiple wavelengths, no lesion is too shallow or too deep to treat.
A strong sapphire cooling tip provides comfort during treatment. Treatment time is reduced due to the large spot size, and results are visible from as early as your first session.
A mild sunburn-like sensation is expected following Lumecca IPL and typically lasts 2 to 24 hours, though it can persist for up to 72 hours. Mild swelling or redness may accompany this.
Brown and red spots will darken for the first several days before beginning to slough off naturally. Do not pick at treated areas. Minor crusting, peppering, or peeling is a common and expected part of the process.
Apply cold compresses for comfort if needed. Keep the area clean and avoid aggressive scrubbing or exfoliation until the skin has fully settled. Avoid direct sun exposure for 3 weeks and apply SPF 30 or higher daily.
Phase 1
Skin is stabilised through calming inflammation and barrier function repair. Some technologies and methods include the Lutronic DermaV, the SDL Glass Skin Method, and controlled chemical support.
Phase 2
Targeted device-based treatments are clinically introduced, spaced and layered. Technologies such as the PicoSure Pro may be used for laser toning, pigment management, resurfacing, and texture improvement.
Phase 3
The focus shifts to refining skin tone, pore quality, and smoothness. This phase may involve the Lutronic LaseMD Ultra alongside SDL's depigmentation protocols.
Phase 4
Structured skin maintenance is designed to help sustain results and support skin long-term. This may include regenerative treatments, periodic laser toning, and hydrating chemical support.
