The Hollywood Spectra Gold Toning treatment is our popular redness reduction procedure that effectively treats diffused redness and post-inflammatory erythema. It is a non-invasive, painless approach to improving the appearance of redness in the skin, using a specialised handpiece on the Hollywood Spectra Q Switch platform.
The treatment uses a short-pulsed 595nm wavelength that has a high absorption towards haemoglobin, resulting in a targeted reduction of inflammation and vascularity across the face and body.
Gold Toning is ideal for anyone wanting to improve redness in their complexion. It is suitable for all skin types and ages, though it may not be appropriate for individuals with certain medical conditions such as active infections or autoimmune disorders. A consultation prior to treatment is essential.
The procedure is performed by a dermal specialist using the Gold Toning handpiece on the Hollywood Spectra Q Switch platform. The device selectively targets areas of diffused redness or post-inflammatory erythema using a 595nm wavelength.
The treatment can be performed on the face as well as other areas of the body. Sessions are quick and comfortable with no anaesthesia required.
There is minimal downtime following MDF Common side effects include some short-term redness in the treated area. This generally subsides within minutes to a few hours after treatment.. Patients may experience mild redness and petechiae (small red or purple spots from superficial bleeding) in the treatment area for up to 5 days after the procedure.
There is no significant downtime associated with Gold Toning, making it suitable as a regular maintenance treatment.
Phase 1
Skin is stabilised through calming inflammation and barrier function repair. Some technologies and methods include the Lutronic DermaV, the SDL Glass Skin Method, and controlled chemical support.
Phase 2
Targeted device-based treatments are clinically introduced, spaced and layered. Technologies such as the PicoSure Pro may be used for laser toning, pigment management, resurfacing, and texture improvement.
Phase 3
The focus shifts to refining skin tone, pore quality, and smoothness. This phase may involve the Lutronic LaseMD Ultra alongside SDL's depigmentation protocols.
Phase 4
Structured skin maintenance is designed to help sustain results and support skin long-term. This may include regenerative treatments, periodic laser toning, and hydrating chemical support.
