SDL Level 1 Peels are our entry-point chemical peel treatments, designed to gently resurface the skin, refine texture, and restore radiance. These peels use carefully selected acids at concentrations suited to sensitive or first-time peel clients, making them an excellent starting point for anyone new to peel-based skin correction.
They are also a popular maintenance treatment for experienced clients who want regular resurfacing without the downtime of deeper procedures.
SDL Level 1 Peels are designed for clients new to chemical peels, those with sensitive skin, and clients seeking a regular maintenance resurfacing option. They are safe for most skin types and can be adapted to target specific concerns including congestion, mild pigmentation, and early signs of ageing.
Your skin is cleansed and prepared before the peel solution is applied by your dermal specialist. The solution is left on the skin for a short, timed period before being neutralised.
The session takes approximately 30 minutes from start to finish. A soothing recovery application and SPF are applied before you leave the clinic.
Level 1 Peels involve minimal downtime. Some light flaking or peeling may occur in the days following treatment as the skin renews itself.
Avoid picking or exfoliating the skin. Apply SPF 50 daily and keep the skin well hydrated. Avoid retinol and other active ingredients for 5 to 7 days post-treatment.
Phase 1
Skin is stabilised through calming inflammation and barrier function repair. Some technologies and methods include the Lutronic DermaV, the SDL Glass Skin Method, and controlled chemical support.
Phase 2
Targeted device-based treatments are clinically introduced, spaced and layered. Technologies such as the PicoSure Pro may be used for laser toning, pigment management, resurfacing, and texture improvement.
Phase 3
The focus shifts to refining skin tone, pore quality, and smoothness. This phase may involve the Lutronic LaseMD Ultra alongside SDL's depigmentation protocols.
Phase 4
Structured skin maintenance is designed to help sustain results and support skin long-term. This may include regenerative treatments, periodic laser toning, and hydrating chemical support.
