Enlarged pores can be a source of ongoing frustration, but they do not have to be permanent. Our MDF (Multi-Depth Fractional) laser treatment is a highly advanced, industry-leading solution that tightens and minimises pores, leaving the skin beautifully smooth with a fresh, rejuvenated appearance.
Using Lutronic's Hollywood Spectra device, our dermal specialists can select different depths of focus to precisely target specific pore concerns. Unlike eCO2 which ablates the skin, the MDF laser plumps and acts as a spring within the skin, delivering a faster visible result with significantly reduced downtime.
MDF Pore Reduction is suitable for all skin types and skin colours. It is designed for those with enlarged pores due to age, sun damage, genetics, or other skin conditions. The multi-depth fractional technology makes it an appropriate option for clients seeking effective pore reduction with less downtime compared to ablative alternatives.
During treatment, the Hollywood Spectra MDF laser delivers short bursts of laser energy to the skin through a multi-depth handpiece. This creates microscopic channels in the skin's surface, stimulating the body's natural healing response, promoting collagen production, and plumping the surrounding skin.
The treatment is customised for each client to target specific pore concerns. Topical anaesthesia is applied for comfort.
MDF treatments are comfortable and relatively painless with topical anaesthesia. A heat or sunburn-like sensation may be experienced for up to 24 hours post-treatment.
There is minimal downtime. Mild redness and petechiae (small red or purple spots from superficial bleeding) may be present in the treatment area for up to 5 days following the procedure.
Phase 1
Skin is stabilised through calming inflammation and barrier function repair. Some technologies and methods include the Lutronic DermaV, the SDL Glass Skin Method, and controlled chemical support.
Phase 2
Targeted device-based treatments are clinically introduced, spaced and layered. Technologies such as the PicoSure Pro may be used for laser toning, pigment management, resurfacing, and texture improvement.
Phase 3
The focus shifts to refining skin tone, pore quality, and smoothness. This phase may involve the Lutronic LaseMD Ultra alongside SDL's depigmentation protocols.
Phase 4
Structured skin maintenance is designed to help sustain results and support skin long-term. This may include regenerative treatments, periodic laser toning, and hydrating chemical support.
