At SDL Australia, we believe that no two skins are the same and that genuine, lasting improvement requires a plan built around your skin's individual biology, history, and goals. The Diagnostic / 1:1 Customisation service is where your SDL journey begins.
Using our Métis Scan diagnostic imaging system alongside internal testing capabilities, our dermal specialists develop a complete and precise picture of your skin's condition at a cellular and structural level. From this foundation, a fully personalised treatment pathway is created, with every treatment, product, and protocol selected specifically for you.
The Diagnostic / 1:1 Customisation service is recommended for all new SDL clients, and for existing clients whose skin concerns have evolved or who want to reassess and optimise their current treatment plan. It is the starting point for every SDL Pathway.
Your consultation begins with a detailed skin history assessment and a Métis Scan diagnostic analysis. The Métis Skin Analysis system captures multiple images using visible light, polarised light, and fluorescence imaging to provide a comprehensive assessment of hydration levels, oil levels, pigmentation, pore size, and texture.
Internal testing using the Oligoscan mineral and heavy metal analysis may also be incorporated to identify internal contributors to skin concerns, including nutritional deficiencies and toxic heavy metal exposure.
Your dermal specialist synthesises all findings into a written SDL Pathway Recommendation, outlining the recommended treatment sequence, home-care programme, and expected outcomes.
The Diagnostic / 1:1 Customisation service is a consultation-based assessment and involves no procedures. There is no downtime or aftercare required.
Following your consultation, you will receive your personalised SDL Pathway Recommendation, which outlines your recommended treatment plan, home-care programme, and next steps.
Phase 1
Skin is stabilised through calming inflammation and barrier function repair. Some technologies and methods include the Lutronic DermaV, the SDL Glass Skin Method, and controlled chemical support.
Phase 2
Targeted device-based treatments are clinically introduced, spaced and layered. Technologies such as the PicoSure Pro may be used for laser toning, pigment management, resurfacing, and texture improvement.
Phase 3
The focus shifts to refining skin tone, pore quality, and smoothness. This phase may involve the Lutronic LaseMD Ultra alongside SDL's depigmentation protocols.
Phase 4
Structured skin maintenance is designed to help sustain results and support skin long-term. This may include regenerative treatments, periodic laser toning, and hydrating chemical support.
