AviClear is the world's first laser to treat acne at its source without medication. Targeting acne directly at the sebaceous (oil) glands, AviClear gently heats and calms overactive glands to reduce excess oil production in sessions of just 30 minutes.
Unlike medication, the AviClear acne treatment does not alter hormones or affect the body systemically. It acts locally, retraining the skin to self-regulate oil and inflammation. SDL Australia has the distinction of being the only non-medical clinic in Australia approved by Cutera to own and operate AviClear.
AviClear is suitable for all genders and skin tones. It is particularly recommended for moderate to severe inflammatory acne, hormonal and cystic acne, post-inflammatory redness and scarring, and oily, congested, or acne-prone skin.
Using a 1726nm wavelength laser, AviClear targets the skin through a precise band of infrared light that selectively heats and deactivates overactive sebaceous glands, calming oil production and making the skin stay clearer, calmer, and more balanced over time.
Each session takes approximately 30 minutes. Your treatment plan will include diagnostic imaging, home-care refinement, and progress reviews so you feel supported through every stage. AviClear's integrated cooling keeps the procedure comfortable, and there is no downtime after treatment.

Phase 1
Skin is stabilised through calming inflammation and barrier function repair. Some technologies and methods include the Lutronic DermaV, the SDL Glass Skin Method, and controlled chemical support.
Phase 2
Targeted device-based treatments are clinically introduced, spaced and layered. Technologies such as the PicoSure Pro may be used for laser toning, pigment management, resurfacing, and texture improvement.
Phase 3
The focus shifts to refining skin tone, pore quality, and smoothness. This phase may involve the Lutronic LaseMD Ultra alongside SDL's depigmentation protocols.
Phase 4
Structured skin maintenance is designed to help sustain results and support skin long-term. This may include regenerative treatments, periodic laser toning, and hydrating chemical support.
